Description
Anthony Marquez, a former Marine and military dog handler, has returned from Afghanistan. He lost 17 friends in the war, and has been suffering from the effects of PTSD. When he finds out that the dog that he went through the war with, Allie, is being retired from the Marine Corps, he sets out to adopt her. This is the story of his journey to be reunited with his best friend, and the comfort they can provide for each other after what they’ve been through together.
Director's Bio
Manny Marquez began making films at age 12, inspired by “Star Trek,” and “Ranger Rick,” magazine. He attended the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. His project, “Rudolph Florence,” was selected for the 2003 USC Crossroads Film Festival, and aired on PBS’s “Fine Cut.” He directed the feature documentary “Psychopath,” and numerous other short documentaries. Manny is a member of The September Club, a film collective, and resides in Hood River, Oregon.
