Director's Bio

Stephanie Heim discovered her passion for filmmaking after taking a screenwriting class at UC San Diego and continued her studies in writing, producing, and directing classes at both UCSD and UCLA. “Let It Go” is her first short film and was inspired by stories from Marines returning to Camp Pendleton after deployments. All cast members and many of the crew on the film are Marines and Army veterans. Stephanie comes from a military family. She and her husband Bob live in San Diego and volunteer for the San Diego-based Dogs on Deployment program to care for pets owned by deployed military. Stephanie is currently working on a number of other film projects.
