ABOUT THIS FILM:
Durham-based Horizon Productions presents a documentary film about Team River Runner, a national volunteer program helping wounded and disabled war veterans heal through whitewater paddling sports. The film tells the story of a group of wounded Raleigh veterans who found healing in the rivers of North Carolina, and in the support of fellow veterans and volunteer whitewater paddlers who are grateful for their service.
FILMMAKER BIO:
A graduate of North Carolina State University, Taka Yamato has been on staff at Horizon Productions in Durham, North Carolina since 2000. Both as an editor and producer, he has been involved with wide range of television, film and corporate video productions. His editing and graphic work have been seen on Discovery Channel, Discovery Science Channel and PBS.
